|Hello....it's me. This is a collection of various still artwork and photography I have done. Welcome and I hope you enjoy your stay.|
A month or two ago I was driving back from the Washington coast and I passed some sort of building along a stream. It wasn't actually a church, but what it looked like out the corner of my eye looked very idyllic. Since the scene wasn't actually what I thought it was at first, and I couldn't stop to take a picture even if it was, I decided to recreate the idealized one in 3D. As I was doing some scene tests with this, the preview plants didn't have any textures resulting in bright white grass and leaves. It reminded me of false color infrared landscape photos, which are often post-processed to have an all-white snowy/dreamy look.
Long story short, I decided my original idea wasn't very interesting and figured I'd try and mimic a false-color infrared photograph instead. There's no actual IR rendering, of course. Just some careful textures and post-processing. I hope you all enjoy it!
