Snowlight

I love this time of year. Something about the fall and early winter I find very beautiful. A couple weeks back, while I was outside on a walk, I just got an idea to try and capture part of that feeling. After a few iterations, I settled on the theme of sunset in the snow, with a few animals acting spooky. (and I’ve also been reading A Song of Ice and Fire over the past few months (I’m finally reading the books, yay!). So the imagery of that series weighed heavily on this.)

I’m pretty happy with how this image has turned out. It proved good practice for making organic assets, and I think I’m finally starting to feel comfortable working Zbrush. I’m also surprised at how fast I put this whole thing together. The oldest files I can find for this project were dated Nov 4th. A lot of my personal projects in the past have taken a lot more time than that, and been worse.
